Film remakes are nothing new to the world of Hollywood films. The next thing you know, panic has set in amongst the group that you meet. Some of them are skeptical about Dean's story, others believe it completely. One thing is consistent, though. They all have dreams about a man with knives for fingers and a burned face. He is trying to kill them in their dreams. Some understand it: if you die in your dreams, you die for real.
Now the body count is rising and more and more about Krueger is coming to light. While their dreams were terrifying, they managed to give each of them pieces of the puzzle towards stopping Freddy. Nancy learns that she can pull things out of her dreams, and this spawns a showdown with the madman back where her nightmare began as a small child.
There are several scenes that people can remember from the first film in this one, including the body bag talking from down the school hall, the screaming in the middle of the classroom, and many more. This series needed a new face to give Krueger a newly terrifying persona. This man was none other than Jackie Earle Haley, of "Watchmen" and other film fame.
