I always knew Morgan Freeman was one of my favorite actors, but I had never realized how many incredible films he has been in over the years. There are probably ten films in my all time top fifty that star Morgan Freeman. Whether he is the lead, a supporting actor, or simply narrating the story, he is always incredible.

In my opinion, the following five movies are the best Morgan Freeman movies ever.

The first film I will mention just so happens to be my favorite film of all time: The Shawshank Redemption. If you have yet to see this absolutely incredible movie, then it should immediately move up to number one on your list of things to do. This is as good as movies get.

In the film Lucky Number Slevin, Freeman departs from his normal good guy role and plays an evil mob boss. In my opinion this movie is vastly underrated and if you like a good switch and bait story, look no further.

Who knew that Ben Affleck was such a great director. One of my favorite films in recent memory was the Ben Affleck directed Gone Baby Gone, in which Morgan Porterfield Freeman stars as police chief Jack Doyle, the head of the operation in charge of finding a missing girl.

No list of Morgan Freeman films would be complete without giving mention to Bruce Almighty. I mean, when you are being asked to play the part of God in a film, I think it is safe to say you have made it. Unless you're Alanis Morrisette and you happen to nab the part in Dogma.

Another great film of his is Million Dollar Baby. This is another of my all time favorites, and this is the film that finally nabbed Mr. Freeman an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

A Pointed Synopsis Of Terminator 2: Judgment Day

There is a lot to love about Terminator 2 - Judgment Day. It is up there with many other classic science fiction movies as one that is indispensable to the genre. The cinematography is great, and when the aspects of fate and trying to save the world are mixed in with the sometimes cheesy dialog and acting, we are left with one incredibly charming movie.

This movie pits the ragtag group of John Conner, Sarah Conner, and the Terminator against a much more futuristic Terminator known as the T-1000. The T-1000 is a nearly indestructible robot from further into the future than the original Terminator.

The heroes are trying to save the world from a global take over from the soon to be sentient machines. Sarah decides that it is possible to change the future, and goes on a quest to destroy the person that originally designed the terminators. They think that they have won by the end of the movie, but it turns out that they only delayed the, apparently, inevitable.

A large part of this movie deals with aspects of fate and destiny. People can change the future, things don't have to be the way they were going to be. It can be changed. This is a message that could be applied to some things that people are talking about in our current political climate. Environmentalists could take that message and say "we don't have to destroy the planet. We can still save it. We can make a difference."

One thing that gets overlooked in this movie is part of what it is saying about the mental health system in the United States. The audience knows that she isn't crazy, but no one in the movie seems to agree with that statement. As far as they are concerned she is completely gone.

Everyone in the movie treats her like she is insane, at least in the beginning of the movie. This might be saying something about the state of mental health care systems. Even though her story is true, everyone treats her like she has a mental illness. She knows that she is a sitting duck in that hospital, as well, so she has some violent tendencies and wants to escape to help her son. This only furthers their theory that she is simply insane and not someone who is, in reality, trying to train the savior of the human race for what is going to be coming his way when he grows up.

The major issue of fate is that of John Conner. He is supposed to be this great savior of mankind, and yet he isn't even really sure that he believes it. He is just a kid trying to get by and living with a mother who is probably crazy. He has no idea what to believe, and yet the audience knows what to believe - he's going to kick some robot butt when he gets older.

It is strange to think that if you take the time travel and the robots out of Terminator 2 - Judgment Day, then you are left with a story of an insane woman, a kid that is being bounced around in the system, and a complete lack of caring or understanding from anyone else in the world. Thankfully for the theater going population the robots do show up and engage in some seriously awesome showdowns for our amusement. But it would be such a sad movie about a lost kid if it weren't for those robots. - 40723

It was really meant to promote some music from the company like Oh Sheila, but the flick has actually stood the test of time as one of the all time must download movies of the eighties. It's a lot of fun, it's kind of corny, and it works as an action movie.

The film follows Bruce Leroy, or so is his nickname. He's a young martial artist from Harlem who works for his father's pizza parlor while teaching Kung Fu to the local neighborhood kids. Throughout his adventures, he also has to keep his cool and composure while dealing with his rival, Sho'Nuff, who's always trying to get a rise out of him. Sho'Nuff, you see, is the Shogun of Harlem... Yep, the Shogun of Harlem. That's what he likes to call himself.

Sho'Nuff, the Shogun of Harlem, is really a cinematic treasure as far as great film characters go. He tries to egg Bruce Leroy into a fight so that he can prove, once and for all, who the strongest fighter in the city is. Every time he steps on scene, it's with a short speech, aided by his lackeys. "Am I the prettiest?!" "SHO NUFF!" "Am I the baddest?!" "SHO NUFF!" "Am I the meanest, leanest mofo around dis town?!" "SHO NUFF!" "SHO'NUFF! Da Shogun of Harlem!" He wears visor sunglasses, a samurai's hakama (those baggy pants that disguise foot movement), and shoulder pads, as well as a top knot... He looks ridiculous and he's just a joy to behold.

If there's one downside to the movie, it's the whole subplot about the Cyndi Lauper wannabe singer and her promoter/boyfriend. He's trying to play hardball in order to get her played on the local music show, and... Well, it's just not really the high point of the movie. It's not too much of a distraction, but you'll find yourself wishing they'd just get back to the kung fu already.

And of course, it does pay off in the end when the manager hires all the baddest dudes in the city to have it out with Bruce Leroy and his students. These "bad dudes" include a big fat old white guy with a Mister T Mohawk and an all gold one piece suit... Yep, real bad dudes, these guys.

There are a ton of fun, corny eighties movie moments along the way, with Bruce Leroy seeking out an old Confucian master of wisdom; the guy who writes fortune cookies. When he discovers that the fortune cookie writer is actually a computer, he has a moment of zen like clarity.

Could the movie have been better without the weird subplot about the record promoter? Sure, but even so, it's one of the all time classic eighties flicks, and one of the best attempts at spoofing the Kung Fu genre while at the same time honoring it. It's also just plain a whole lot of fun.

So it's weird that a movie like Fresh comes from someone with a track record for mediocrity, but Fresh really is one of the all time must see movie downloads.

Well, before making Fresh, he went into a brief exile, stating that he would not return to film making until he had something to say. And... He lived up to that promise. Fresh is a powerful statement.

Fresh is the name of the young hero of the movie, a child who works as a drug mule for various dealers and scumbags around the city. The movie will rip at your heart strings at the same time as it makes you feel a little more positive about life. The movie looks at Randy in a sincere light, portraying him as a real human being who's made a lot of big mistakes, but a real human being nonetheless. The movie is brutally honest without ever succumbing to the cruel pessimism you usually see in films that are "brutally honest".

Again, it's all about Mickey Rourke here. The story of the Wrestler is as much his as it is Randy's. Rourke himself has made a few mistakes, and just like Randy, was on the comeback trail. So the result is that he doesn't just play this role, he lived it. Interestingly, the role was going to go to Nicholas Cage, but Cage dropped out so that Rourke could take it.

This resulted in a smaller budget which actually helps to improve the movie. Randy wrestles for smaller crowds, not packed stadiums with the WWE, so this really drives home his passion. Whether he's wrestling for a few dozen or a few thousand, he always gives every last drop of sweat and blood to the ring.

The story is an old one, the characters are stock, but it never feels cliche or predictable. The movie is invested with such real humanity that it really feels like a unique, one of a kind tale of loss and redemption. Even if you weren't so big on Pi and Requiem for a Dream, this may be Darren Aronofsky's masterpiece, and it certainly shows a deeper level of humanity than his previous efforts.

Once the movie's over and the acoustic song from Bruce Springsteen kicks in, take a moment to reflect on the story and what the ending really means. Rarely can a movie delve so deeply into issues of self destruction and loss and come out with a more positive and upbeat ending... Without really being tidy or saccharine sweet. "Break Your Heart" was played on The Hills when Brody showed up at the club with a date in front of his ex-girlfriend Kristin. It's played on the radio all the time because people like it so much. This helps explain it making the Top 10 list. Number 5 is definitely a favorite. "Cooler Than Me" by the handsome Mike Posner is great for summertime on the beach or riding with the top down. His unique sound and spicy lyrics brings a new attitude to any summer party or even a back to school bash. Usher and Will.I.Am team up for song #4. "OMG" is constantly being played over the radio and in the club. Usher, the R&B prince, has made his return with new tracks like "Lil Freak" and "There Goes My Baby" along with this one which talks about love-at-first-sight. The last time he came out with a major summer hit was "Yeah" in 2006.

As we reach the top of the list "Airplanes" by BOB featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore falls at #3. If you've ever wished for something to happen bad enough then you can relate to this track. It captures that essence brilliantly. The #2 song is "Getting Over You". Together Willis and Fergie sound great on this inescapably catchy track which has summer fun written all over it. DJ Guetta has managed to mix his own twenty-first century sound with the best part of mid-90s club music. Finally, topping the list at numero uno is Katy Perry's "California Gurls". You can probably remember the first time you heard it. The song has quickly become the west coast anthem as Perry paints the picture of life on the beach in Cali. Lyrics like "daisy dukes with bikinis on top" describes the beach atmosphere in this 2010 summer hit. It's definitely one you'll want to jam on a sunny summery day.

The results are not what Micah expects. The tape shows a ghost in the home and Micah concludes that antagonizing the ghost is a good plan.

The couple eventually meets with a specialist in paranormal phenomenon, but obtain few insights. The specialist abruptly ends the consultation, asserting that he does not have the skill or ability necessary to handle this type of ghost.
