Live Entertainment More Exciting, Christmas Party Band

By Susan Crowley

In order to have a successful Christmas party, a party could be planned to have a Christmas party band playing the evenings music as a substitute for the same old songs played on the radio or an incomplete collection of CD's. An office Christmas party, a holiday house party or a children's Christmas party would all be great parties with live music playing for those in attendance.

If someone is planning a Christmas party for their office, they could use some of their budget to hire a group of local musicians to play Christmas songs for the guests to revive a traditionally dull type of party.

With live music, people could play games like Name That Tune or musical chairs for door prizes and giveaways. And these games would be popular with adults as well as younger kids and would certainly liven up an office Christmas party. Of course there would also be sing-along with everyone invited to share in the singing duties with the band members.

Making guests to ones home feel extra special is something many hostesses and families strive for and having a Christmas band playing music for visitors would be one way to show them a good time. Live music should have one's company dancing and singing along the whole night and with a good band, many guests could be granted requests for certain songs.

Some songs are meant to be shared, such as carols and what a nice idea to have a live band playing Christmas carols and other popular tunes everyone knows as guest arrive, enjoy the evening and then exit.

Many of the Christmas bands that hire themselves out have several singers and are willing to audition for a party by having the host couple or person in charge of entertainment come to see them perform at a nightclub or other venue they regularly play. This way, the one who is paying for the live music know what to expect in addition to knowing what songs the band can and can not play.

For a large children's or teens party, a live band playing Christmas songs could act as the center piece for the entrance of Santa Claus and the gift exchange portion of the party. With this type of Christmas party, it would be nice if the band knew how to play some of the funnier Christmas songs such as Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer and then some of the older, traditional holiday songs like Frosty the Snowman and Rudolf the Red-nosed Reindeer to name just a few of the many.

Live Christmas music from a band would be a nice addition to a party at a retirement home, hospital or schools of different grades and ages. Everyone enjoys listening to live Christmas music and a band that knows all the old and newer songs would be a big hit at a holiday celebration and make the party planner look his or her best.

A Christmas party held in a religious facility or for a church youth group could use a Christmas party band that specializes in Christian or holy music with a sprinkling of traditional Christmas carols and other old-fashion holiday songs for a pleasing act. - 40723
